New here — never had a betting account before. Considering starting with £50 to bet small on tennis (my hobby). Honestly nervous. What do experienced bettors wish they'd known before their first deposit?

Three things: 1) Set a deposit limit immediately (£50/month) — every UK book lets you do this. 2) Never bet more than £10 per match for the first month, regardless of how confident you feel. 3) Track every bet in a spreadsheet. Discipline > prediction.

Welcome. Also — don't take welcome bonuses unless you understand the wagering. Easier to play with your own funds + the natural restraint that brings.
