The Woodbridge Tennis Academy's three entrants in the 16's Boys Singles of the 2011 Easter Bowl (now called the National Spring Championships) had a successful tournament.
With Stefan Menichella and
Drew Dawson reaching the
round of 16, and Gage Brymer winning the title, Woodbridge was well represented through to the final rounds of this prestigious event.
Although Woodbridge players have won a number of US and International
junior titles, Gage followed up on his other Gold Ball title --
The 2009 Boys 14's Winter Nationals -- by picking up his -- and Woodbridge's -- first Easter Bowl title. Commenting on the win, Brymer
said that winning the Easter Bowl meant even more to him than winning the Winter Nationals because "the Easter Bowl was a stronger tournament". Seeded eighth, Brymer beat Noah Rubin (Carson ITF Boy's 16's winner), Jack Murray (13th seed), Luca Corintelli (3rd seed),
and, in the final, second seeded Ronnie Schneider.

In such a strong field, Gage's win was even more notable as he won his first
six matches without losing a set. In fact, he only dropped 16 games, six of them being in his
6-4 6-2 quarter final win over Jack Murray. In the final, Gage beat
Ronnie Schneider 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 in a high level display of power
and consistency.
